Volleyball Recap: Manual Arts Toilers vs. Los Angeles Romans

After flying high against Santee last Friday, Manual Arts came back down to earth. Manual Arts came up short against the Los Angeles Romans on Wednesday, falling 3-0. The Toilers have struggled against the Romans recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost meeting.

Manual Arts took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-21, 25-22.

Despite the loss, Manual Arts still got an impressive performance from Alejando Mejia, who hit 81.8% for 20 kills and 15 digs, three blocks, and three aces. Mejia is crushing it when it comes to kills: he's had at least 14 every time he's taken the court this season.
