Baseball Recap: North Summit Takes a Loss

North Summit was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They lost 12-4 to the Duchesne Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 17-1 last Friday.

North Summit saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Braxton Lefler, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

North Summit's loss dropped their record down to 1-14. As for Duchesne, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-10.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. North Summit will take on San Juan at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. The Braves' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Broncos have averaged an impressive 8.8 runs per game this season. As for Duchesne, they will square off against Summit Academy at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
