Baseball Recap: Faustina Academy Wins Going Away Against Dallas Academy

Faustina Academy's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They blew past the Dallas Academy Bulldogs 24-1.

Dan Nelson made a splash no matter where he played. He struck out six batters over two innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit (and only one walk). Nelson was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

In other batting news, Faustina Academy got a massive performance out of Matt Jeggle, who scored four runs while going 3-for-4. Luca Nussmeier was another key player, scoring four runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

Faustina Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .441. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Dallas Academy only posted a batting average of .100.

Faustina Academy now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Dallas Academy, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Faustina Academy will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Cistercian at 12:00 p.m. on April 5th. As for Dallas Academy, they will welcome Heritage Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
