Basketball Game Preview: Ridgeview Ravens vs. Mountain View Cougars

Ridgeview is 0-10 against Mountain View since January of 2018 but things could change on Friday. The Ridgeview Ravens will face off against the Mountain View Cougars at 7:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Last Monday, Ridgeview came up short against Redmond and fell 56-49. While losing is never fun, the Ravens can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oregon basketball rankings (they are ranked 102nd, while the Panthers are ranked 35th).

Meanwhile, Mountain View lost to Caldera on the road by a 61-43 margin on Monday.

Mountain View has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-8 record this season. As for Ridgeview, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-11.

Ridgeview couldn't quite finish off Mountain View in their previous meeting back in February of 2024 and fell 75-72. Can Ridgeview avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
