Swansboro hadn't done well against Pamlico County recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Pirates put the hurt on the Hurricanes with a sharp 3-0 win. Winning may never get old, but the Pirates sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Swansboro was especially dominant in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-11, 25-21.

Swansboro's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Pamlico County, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Coming up, Swansboro will challenge Lejeune at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Pamlico County, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-1 defeat against West Carteret on the 14th.
