Basketball Recap: Ulysses Comes Up Short

Ulysses was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 48-14 loss at the hands of the Hugoton Eagles. The contest marked the Tigers' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Ulysses' loss dropped their record down to 1-15. As for Hugoton, their win bumped their record up to 7-9.

Ulysses and Hugoton could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Kansas Rankings. Ulysses (ranked 276th) will meet Goodland (ranked 58th) at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Similarly, Hugoton will take on Holcomb at 6:00 p.m. on Friday down 123 places (156 vs. 33).
