Basketball Recap: Ithaca's Higher State Rank on Full Display on Saturday

Ithaca won the last time they faced Fulton and things went their way on Saturday too. The Ithaca Yellowjackets walked away with a 53-43 win over the Fulton Pirates. Given the Yellowjackets' advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 72nd, while the Pirates are ranked 220th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Ithaca's victory bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Fulton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ithaca will square off against Hemlock at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Fulton, they will challenge Chesaning at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
