Volleyball Recap: Potosi Chieftains vs. Benton Zephyrs
There's no place like home for Potosi, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. Everything went their way against the Benton Zephyrs on Tuesday as the Potosi Chieftains made off with a 3-0 win. The Chieftains have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Zephyrs, too.
Potosi never let Benton on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-15, 28-26.
When it comes to explaining why Benton lost, don't look at Vanessa Vosberg. Despite the final result, she had 20 digs, ten kills, and four aces. Vosberg is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in the last four games she's played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Maddie Davis, who had 15 digs and 14 assists.
Potosi's victory bumped their record up to 13-16. As for Benton, their loss was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-21.
