Softball Game Preview: Bishop Watterson Eagles vs. Thomas Worthington CARDINALS

The Bishop Watterson Eagles will venture away from home to challenge the Thomas Worthington CARDINALS at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Having struggled with five defeats in a row, Bishop Watterson turned things around against Centennial on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Stars with a sharp 23-4 win.

Bishop Watterson got a massive performance out of Alexa Ray, who went 2-for-4 with five RBI, three runs, and one triple. Those five RBI gave Ray a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Abby Emswiler, who got on base in all five of her plate appearances with four runs, two stolen bases, and two RBI.

Bishop Watterson always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .674. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Meanwhile, Thomas Worthington never let their opponents score on Thursday. They blew past Whetstone 11-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the CARDINALS.

Bishop Watterson's record is now 7-15. As for Thomas Worthington, their record now sits at 12-10.
