Basketball Recap: Morton Takes a Loss

Morton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They took a 27-9 bruising from the Seagraves Eagles. The matchup marked the Indians' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Morton's defeat dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Seagraves, their win ended a 13-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 6-10.

Morton and Seagraves could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. Morton (ranked 1307th) will meet Ropes (ranked 269th) at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Similarly, Seagraves will face off against Whiteface at 7:00 p.m. on Monday down 1,156 places (1301 vs. 145).
