Basketball Preview: Sun Valley Vanguards vs. Unionville Longhorns
The Sun Valley Vanguards will head out on the road to face off against the Unionville Longhorns at 6:45 p.m. on Monday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Sun Valley comes in on seven and the Longhorns on ten.
Even though Science Leadership Academy at Beeber scored an imposing 55 points on Saturday, Sun Valley still came out on top. Sun Valley snuck past the Rockets with a 61-55 victory.
Meanwhile, it may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Unionville ultimately got the result they hoped for on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 47-45 victory over Coatesville.
Sun Valley has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season. As for Unionville, their win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 19-2.
Sun Valley might still be hurting after the 60-35 loss they got from the Longhorns in their previous matchup back in January. Can Sun Valley avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
