Oak Hill hadn't done well against Northwestern recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Oak Hill Golden Eagles walked away with a 40-29 victory over the Northwestern Tigers. The Golden Eagles are really starting to get used to good results now that the team has won 13 straight.

Oak Hill got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Brianna Dailey out in front who went 6 for 8 en route to 14 points and five boards. Another player making a difference was Liz Godfrey, who posted ten points and five steals.

Oak Hill was working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Northwestern only racked up seven assists.

Northwestern's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Berkley Wray, who put up seven points in addition to six rebounds and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Maci Rody, who scored four points and seven boards.

Oak Hill pushed their record up to 17-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 22.6 points per game. As for Northwestern, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-10.

Oak Hill wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 45-32 win against Eastbrook on the 18th. As for Northwestern, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 51-42 loss against Northfield on the 18th.
