Volleyball Recap: New Berlin West Comes Up Short

New Berlin West's tournament run continued when they took on Stevens Point on Saturday. The Vikings fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 2-1. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Katie Kornowski was the offensive standout of the matchup as she had 25 assists and six digs. She has been hot for a while, having posted 13 or more assists the last 48 times she's played. Karli Torhorst also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

New Berlin West's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Stevens Point, their victory bumped their record up to 8-2.

Coming up, New Berlin West will take on Wisconsin Lutheran at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Stevens Point, they are on the road again on Saturday to play Bay Port at 4:00 p.m.
