Recap: Braymer Bobcats vs. Norborne Pirates

The Braymer Bobcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 22 points or more this season. They took their matchup at home on Thursday with ease, bagging a 86-18 victory over Norborne. Given Braymer's advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 281st, while Norborne is ranked 584th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Jordan Haley was his usual excellent self, scoring 24 points along with seven assists and four steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Braymer's points. Dakota Brandon was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with nine steals.

Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Norborne struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only four offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Braymer's win bumped their record up to 8-5. As for Norborne, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.

Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Orrick the next time they take the court. Norborne will head out to face Orrick at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while Braymer will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
