Aaron Lopez and William Carrigan made a splash while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Lopez struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). Meanwhile, Carrigan didn't allow a single hit and allowed only one earned run while striking out six over four innings pitched. Kimball is 3-1 when Carrigan allowsone or fewer earned runs, but 5-7 otherwise. At bat, Lopez scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4, while Carrigan scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-4. Those two stolen bases gave Carrigan a new career-high.
