Football Game Preview: Prague Red Devils vs. Bethel Wildcats

For the first time this season, Prague will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will take on the Bethel Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Friday, Prague didn't have too much trouble with Meeker as they won 30-12. The Red Devils haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, a well-balanced attack led Bethel over McLoud in every quarter on their way to victory two weeks ago. The Wildcats put the hurt on the Redskins with a sharp 58-32 win. The score was close at halftime, but the Wildcats pulled away in the second half with 30 points.

Bethel's win came from a few key players Prague will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Maddox Davis, who threw for 341 yards and five TDs while picking up 11.0 yards per attempt, and also punched in one touchdown on the ground. Those 341 passing yards gave him a new career-high. Zack Jennings was Davis' top target, picking up 142 receiving yards and three scores.

Bethel was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 221 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 221 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.

Prague now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Bethel, their victory bumped their record up to 3-0.

Prague couldn't quite get it done against Bethel in their previous meeting back in September of 2024 as they fell 28-20. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of the Wildcats' Ezra Powis, who rushed for 111 yards and one touchdown on only ten carries.
