Preview: Red Cloud Warriors vs. Shelton Bulldogs
The Red Cloud Warriors will be home for the holidays to greet the Shelton Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
On Tuesday, Red Cloud narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Wilcox-Hildreth 32-29. The victory was just what Red Cloud needed coming off of a 52-29 loss in their prior match.
Red Cloud's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Adelynn Minnick, who scored 13 points. The match was Minnick's third in a row with at least ten points. Josie Rust was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Meanwhile, Shelton entered their tilt with Kenesaw with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Shelton strolled past Kenesaw with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 45-27.
The victory got Red Cloud back to even at 2-2. As for Shelton, they pushed their record up to 3-1 with that victory, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season.
