Baseball Recap: Kennedy Comes Up Short

Kennedy made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Aurora Central, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Commanders fell just short of the Trojans by a score of 10-8 on Wednesday. The loss continues a trend for the Commanders in their meetings with the Trojans: they've now lost three in a row.

Xavier Benavidez made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one run.

Kennedy's defeat dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Aurora Central, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-8 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kennedy will welcome Bruce Randolph at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Aurora Central, they will be playing at home against Adams City at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
