Genesee waltzed into their matchup on Monday with eight straight wins... but they left with nine. They walked away with a 48-39 win over the Highland Huskies. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 52-44 win two weeks ago.

Highland lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Kylee Beck, who posted seven points in addition to six rebounds and three blocks. Alli Mae Moddrell was another key player, putting up nine points along with five boards and three steals.

Genesee's victory bumped their record up to 19-1. As for Highland, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 11-11 record this season.

Genesee does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Highland, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Deary at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
