Colonial Heights is 8-2 against Southampton since December of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. The Colonial Heights Colonials will host the Southampton Indians at 7:15 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Last Thursday, Colonial Heights had to suffer through a 75-38 loss at the hands of Hopewell. While losing is never fun, the Colonials can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 325th, while the Blue Devils are ranked 91st).

Meanwhile, Southampton was beaten by Greensville County 70-14 on Friday. The match marked the Indians' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Colonial Heights dropped their record down to 4-11 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Southampton, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-9.

Colonial Heights didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Southampton in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, but they still walked away with a 47-41 win.
