Baseball Recap: Calvary Christian Academy Lions vs. Warner Christian Academy Eagles
After flying high against Non Varsity Opponent last Tuesday, Calvary Christian Academy came back down to earth. The Calvary Christian Academy Lions fell 7-4 to the Warner Christian Academy Eagles on Friday. The loss continues a trend for the Lions in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost five in a row.
Joel Gornto and Cruze McLean were huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. Throwing, Gornto struck out six batters over 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, McLean tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Gornto has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one hit in three consecutive appearances.
