Volleyball Recap: Chestatee Falls Despite Big Games from Abby Migalla and Peyton Burke

Chestatee was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Lumpkin County Indians. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Indians this season, with their most recent loss being a 2-0 defeat last Tuesday.

Chestatee's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Peyton Burke, who had 11 digs and five assists, and Abby Migalla, who had five digs and three aces.

Chestatee's defeat dropped their record down to 8-25. As for Lumpkin County, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 19-16 record this season.

Chestatee does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lumpkin County, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Dawson County on the 9th.
