Basketball Recap: Anderson-Shiro Takes a Loss

Anderson-Shiro lost a heartbreaker to New Waverly when they met back in December of 2023, and they left with a heavy heart again on Friday. The Anderson-Shiro Fighting Owls fell 56-47 to the New Waverly Bulldogs. The Fighting Owls haven't had much luck with the Bulldogs recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.

Anderson-Shiro's record now sits at 14-10. As for New Waverly, their win bumped their record up to 7-14.

Anderson-Shiro will be playing in front of their home fans against Coldspring-Oakhurst at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for New Waverly, they will head out to square off against Crockett at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
