Baseball Recap: St. Peter Takes a Loss

St. Peter was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of the Marshall Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-3 back in April.

St. Peter now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Marshall, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-3.

St. Peter and Marshall should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Minnesota Rankings. The Saints will challenge Waseca at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank advantage (100 vs. 210). Meanwhile, Marshall (ranked 11th) will meet Tri-City United [Montgomery-Lonsdale/Le Center] (ranked 91st) at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
