United fell victim to Wheeling Central Catholic and their airtight defense on Wednesday. They lost 10-0 to the Maroon Knights. While losing is never fun, United can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' soccer rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 220th in Ohio, while Wheeling Central Catholic are ranked third in West Virginia).

With the defeat, United broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 7-5-2. As for Wheeling Central Catholic, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-1.

United will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Rootstown at 6:00 p.m. on October 6. As for Wheeling Central Catholic, they will face off against Catholic Central at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
