Soccer Game Preview: Randall vs. Pampa

The Randall Raiders will head out to square off against the Pampa Harvesters at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Randall will be strutting in after a victory while Pampa will be coming in after a defeat.

Randall will bounce into Tuesday's matchup after beating West Plains, who they had gone 0-5 against in their five prior meetings. Randall came out on top against West Plains by a score of 3-1 on Friday. The win was all the more spectacular given the Raiders' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 639th, while Wolves are ranked 255th).

Meanwhile, after soaring to five goals the game before, Pampa was a bit more limited in their contest on Friday. They lost 6-1 to Perryton. The Harvesters haven't had much luck with the Rangers recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

The victory made it two in a row for Randall and bumps their season record up to 7-9. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored six goals over those two games. As for Pampa, their loss dropped their record down to 9-8.

Randall suffered a grim 4-1 defeat to Pampa when the teams last played back in February. Can Randall avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
