Volleyball Recap: Metea Valley Comes Up Short

Metea Valley lost against Neuqua Valley back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Mustangs fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 2-1. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Metea Valley sadly wound up on the wrong side. The final score came out to 25-6, 25-27, 25-10.

Annie Burk paced Metea Valley's offense, picking up seven kills. Burk got some help from Ashley Ward and her 18 assists.

Metea Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 13-17. As for Neuqua Valley, they pushed their record up to 18-13 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home.

Metea Valley wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Geneva on the 15th. As for Neuqua Valley, they have also already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Waubonsie Valley on the 15th.
