Baseball Game Preview: Enterprise Bulldogs vs. Noxubee County Tigers

Enterprise is on a four-game streak of home losses dating back to last season, and Noxubee County a seven-game streak of away losses also dating back to last season. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Friday. The Enterprise Bulldogs will host the Noxubee County Tigers at 6:00 p.m.

Enterprise headed into their last match having not scored more than two runs for three straight, but Noxubee County let them put that streak behind them. Enterprise never let Noxubee County get on the board and left with a 22-0 win on Monday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Bulldogs as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Toby Thornhill made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Furthermore, he didn't allow a single earned run, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in April of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 1-for-2. What's more, he posted three RBI, the most he's had since back in February of 2024.

In other batting news, Garrett Neal was a standout: he scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2. He also put up three RBI, which were his first of the season. Brody Smith was another key player, scoring three runs while going 2-for-2.

Enterprise hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their strikeout total in three consecutive contests.

Noxubee County's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Enterprise, their win bumped their record up to 2-8.
