Wapahani entered their tilt with Cascade on Saturday with eight consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with nine. They came out on top against the Cascade Cadets by a score of 59-49. Given the Raiders' advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 87th, while the Cadets are ranked 215th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Wapahani's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kimber Abshear, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 12 boards. Abshear is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last nine games she's played. Another player making a difference was Emily Luce, who almost dropped a double-double on 16 points and nine assists.

Despite the loss, Cascade still got an impressive performance from Chloe Smith, who went 6 of 10 from beyond the arc on her way to 26 points. With that strong performance, Smith is now averaging an impressive 15.8 points per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Lilly Hall, who posted five points and seven rebounds.

Wapahani's win bumped their record up to 13-1. As for Cascade, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-4.

Wapahani didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 45-30 defeat against Oldenburg Academy on the 28th. As for Cascade, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 46-43 loss against Indianapolis Shortridge on the 28th.
