Baseball Recap: Trigg County Takes a Loss

Trigg County fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against Hickman County on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They lost 19-7 to the Hickman County Falcons. The Wildcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Falcons apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2023.

Aaden Allen was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while going 1-for-2. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (two). Another player making a difference was James Garnett, who scored a run while going 1-for-1.

Trigg County's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Trigg County will challenge Hopkins County Central at 5:45 p.m. on Monday. As for Hickman County, they will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Marshall County at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
