Football Recap: Durant Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Durant lost against Gaither back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Cougars took a blow against the Cowboys, falling 43-7. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Sam Themar threw for 168 yards and one TD. Ryan Porter was his top target, picking up 91 receiving yards and one score. On the ground, Ben Hodnett rushed for 54 yards.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Gaither to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ryan Browning, who threw for 141 yards and a pair of touchdowns while completing 83.3% of his passes. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryan Hamilton, who picked up 57 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Durant now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Gaither, they pushed their record up to 2-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Durant will host Armwood at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Gaither, they will head out on the road to challenge Steinbrenner at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
