Baseball Game Preview: Washington Rams vs. Fairfax Stampede

Washington is 0-4 against Fairfax since March of 2021 but things could change on Friday. The Rams are taking a road trip to face off against the Stampede at 6:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Washington is headed into Friday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Thursday. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 10-8 heartbreaker at the hands of La Joya Community.

Ta'Lon Heron was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-5 with two RBI and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Rylan Evans, who got on base in two of his five plate appearances with three runs.

Meanwhile, Fairfax suffered their biggest defeat since March 20th on Thursday. They came up short against Carl Hayden Community, falling 8-2. The Stampede have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Fairfax's loss dropped their record down to 11-10. As for Washington, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-10.

Washington suffered a grim 18-0 defeat to Fairfax when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can the Rams avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
