Basketball Recap: Blackwell Comes Up Short

Blackwell was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Cashion Wildcats, falling 54-32. While losing is never fun, the Maroons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 203rd, while the Wildcats are ranked 52nd).

Blackwell's defeat dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Cashion, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season.

Blackwell will venture away from home to take on Newkirk at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Cashion has already played their next matchup (against Fairview), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
