Soccer Recap: West Comes Up Short

West was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 5-3 to the East Leopards. While losing is never fun, West can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Utah soccer rankings (they are ranked 49th, while East are ranked third).

West hit East with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Anthony Pimentel, Am Sang, and Leo De La Paz.

West's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for East, the win keeps they at an undefeated 9-0.

Coming up, West will look to defend their home pitch on Friday against Highland at 5:30 p.m. As for East, they will venture away from home to face off against Alta at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Alta will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more goals each match than the last.
