            Trinity Christian is preparing for their first  district matchup of the season  on Friday. They will face off against the Southwest Christian School Eagles at 4:30  p.m. Both come into the  game bolstered by wins in their previous  matches.
Trinity Christian's pitching crew heads into the  contest  hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed  on Thursday. Everything went their way against New Home as Trinity Christian made off with  a  9-0 win. Considering the Lions have won six matchups by more than eight  runs this season, Thursday's  blowout was nothing new.
Meanwhile, Southwest Christian School came tearing into  Tuesday's  game with four straight wins  (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They had just enough and edged out the Loboes  8-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest  victory the Eagles have posted  since February 6th.
 Evan Smith and  Lara Langford were a major factor no matter where they played. Throwing,  Smith   pitched two innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. Meanwhile,  Langford   struck out eight batters over  five innings while giving up just two earned  (and four unearned) runs off   eight  hits. She has been consistent : she hasn't  tossed less than five  strikeouts in six consecutive appearances. At bat,  Smith  went 1-for-2 with one  triple, one  run,  and one  RBI, while  Langford  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 2-for-2.
 They weren't the only ones making solid contact as  two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  Emma Russo, who  scored a  run while going 1-for-3.
 Southwest Christian School's win was  their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 11-2-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.9 runs on average over those games. As for Trinity Christian,  the  victory made it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 6-4.
