Baseball Recap: Challis Comes Up Short

If Challis was riding high fresh off their 14-7 takedown of Idaho City on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Vikings came up short against the Wells Leopards on Saturday, falling 13-2. The Vikings were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Leopards apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2023.

Challis saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carter Ivie, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Challis' loss dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Wells, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season.

Challis has already played their next game, a 13-6 defeat against Malad on the 11th. As for Wells, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, an 11-1 victory against Idaho City on the 11th.
