Baseball Recap: Bangor Finds Home Field Redemption Against Moravian Academy

There's no place like home for Bangor, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Moravian Academy Lions with a sharp 12-2 win on Thursday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 21-0 back in April.

Luke Rinaldi was a major factor no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. Rinaldi was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double. That double marked the first that he has hit this season.

In other batting news, Nolan Koza was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Chase Panczer, who went 3-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Bangor's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-10. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Moravian Academy, they are on an 18-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-18.
