Basketball Recap: Carroll Comes Up Short

Carroll suffered their biggest loss since November 14th on Friday. They took a blow against the Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial Eagles, falling 103-64. The Tigers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 58-35.

It was another big night for Billy White Iii, who shot 8-for-11 from long range and dropped a double-double on 28 points and ten rebounds for Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial. Jeremiah Moore was another key player, going 7 for 14 on his way to 23 points.

Carroll's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 12-11. As for Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial, the win keeps them at an undefeated 19-0.

Carroll will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Miller at 7:30 p.m. on December 31st. Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial and Stratford will round out the year against one another at at 1:30 p.m. on Friday.
