The First Baptist School Hurricanes scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They claimed a resounding 75-48 win over Lake Marion on the road. The victory was some much needed relief for First Baptist School as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Lake Marion's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Breion Shivers, who scored nine points. Jeremiah Smith was another key contributor, scoring nine points.

First Baptist School's win bumped their record up to 6-9. As for Lake Marion, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-13.

First Baptist School will look to defend their home court on Friday against Pinewood Prep at 7:30 p.m. As for Lake Marion, they will head out on the road to square off against Bishop England at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bishop England presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Lake Marion in South Carolina (Bishop England is ranked 70th, while Lake Marion is ranked 225th).
