Football Recap: White County Takes a Loss

White County lost against Greater Atlanta Christian back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Warriors lost 40-14 to the Spartans. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 277th, while the Spartans are ranked 104th).

Greater Atlanta Christian found their leader in sophomore Pierce Wilson, who rushed for 182 yards and three scores while picking up 11.4 yards per carry. Those three rushing touchdowns set a new season-high mark for Wilson. The team also got some help courtesy of Michael Miller, who threw for 231 yards and one TD.

White County's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Greater Atlanta Christian, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-2.

White County didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 35-14 win against Chestatee on the 24th. As for Greater Atlanta Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 49-35 victory against Pickens on the 24th.
