Volleyball Recap: Taft Takes a Loss

Taft lost against West last Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Wildcats took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Vikings.

Melody Franks paced Taft's offense, picking up three kills. Franks got some help from Karsynn Owens and her six assists. Franks was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Taft's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for West, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-7-1 record this season.

Taft wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Strathmore on the 6th. As for West, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Golden Valley at 6:30 p.m.
