Basketball Recap: Seaside Drops Season-High Score on Astoria

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Seaside). They strolled past the Astoria Fishermen with points to spare on Thursday, taking the game 67-53. The Seagulls have beaten the Fishermen the last six times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Fishermen has come to flipping the script.

Seaside's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-9. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.8 points over those games. As for Astoria, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-13 record this season.
