Volleyball Game Preview: Norwich Free Academy Wildcats vs. Cheney Tech Chargers

The Norwich Free Academy Wildcats will head out on the road to face off against the Cheney Tech Chargers at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Cheney Tech took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Norwich Free Academy, who comes in off a win.

On Wednesday, Norwich Free Academy made easy work of Academy of Aerospace and Engineering and carried off a 3-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wildcats.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Norwich Free Academy took every set by at least 12 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-11, 25-13.

Meanwhile, Cheney Tech was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 20th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to Woodstock Academy.

The final score came out to 25-15, 25-9, 25-17.

Norwich Free Academy's win bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Cheney Tech, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-8.

Everything went Norwich Free Academy's way against Cheney Tech when the teams last played back in April of 2024, as Norwich Free Academy made off with a 3-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
