Volleyball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Notre Dame

Notre Dame had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They blew past the St. Mary's Dragons 3-0. The Bulldogs not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 16th (when they won 3-0).

Notre Dame never let St. Mary's on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The final score came out to 25-11, 25-22, 25-14.

Loren Burford paced Notre Dame's offense, picking up nine kills. Burford got some help from Joseph Dodson and his 26 assists.

Notre Dame pushed their record up to 17-8 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. As for St. Mary's, they are on a 15-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-13.

Coming up, Notre Dame will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Lutheran at 5:00 p.m. As for St. Mary's, they will venture away from home to square off against Maplewood-Richmond Heights at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Dragons are facing the Blue Devils at the right time seeing as the Blue Devils are stuck on an eight-game losing streak.
