Baseball Recap: Mannford Takes a Loss

Mannford was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 8-3 to the North Rock Creek Cougars. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 18-0 last Monday.

Mannford saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kayden Leslie, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. Fred Giles also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Mannford's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for North Rock Creek, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-3.

Coming up, Mannford will welcome Beggs at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for North Rock Creek, they will be taking part in a tournament against Dale at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
