De La Salle typically has all the answers at home, but on Tuesday Foothill proved too difficult a challenge. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Spartans. This was a revenge game for the Falcons: when they faced off against the Spartans back in March, they had to take a 2-1 loss.

While Foothill might've won, it sure wasn't easy: De La Salle scored at least 21 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-21, 25-22.

Despite the defeat, De La Salle had strong showings from Owen McDonagh, who had 20 assists and three digs, and Gino Colombana, who had nine digs and one assist. McDonagh has been hot recently, having posted 13 or more assists the last three times he's played.

Foothill has been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-8 record this season. As for De La Salle, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-6.

Foothill wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Livermore on the 17th. As for De La Salle, they have also already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Dougherty Valley on the 17th.
