Softball Recap: Dunbar Comes Up Short

Dunbar was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They came up short against the Benbrook Bobcats, falling 19-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bobcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 24-3 back in March.

Dunbar saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Treniti Moss, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base. Moss has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. Briannna Weathersby was another, scoring a run and stealing two bases.

Dunbar's loss dropped their record down to 3-14. As for Benbrook, the win was the 12th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 18-8.

Dunbar does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Benbrook, they will welcome Tolar at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Bobcats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Rattlers have averaged an impressive 8.4 runs per game this season.
