Basketball Recap: Aidan Brown's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Mt. Pleasant Christian over Rocket City

Mt. Pleasant Christian lost against Rocket City back in November of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Mt. Pleasant Christian Lions took a 51-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rocket City Falcons.

Mt. Pleasant Christian's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Aidan Brown, who posted 15 points. Brown is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last four games he's played. Andrew Stidham was another key player, putting up six points and seven boards.

Even though they lost, Mt. Pleasant Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 23 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've posted since back in January of 2024.

Mt. Pleasant Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Rocket City, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-13.

Mt. Pleasant Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 76-37 loss against Evangel Christian on the 4th. As for Rocket City, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 72-66 defeat against Varsity Opponent on the 1st.
