Soccer Game Preview: Knoxville Central vs. Bearden

Knoxville Central hasn't had much luck against Bearden recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. Knoxville Central will head out to face off against Bearden at 7:00 p.m.

Thursday just wasn't the day for Knoxville Central's offense. They came up short against Grace Christian Academy on Thursday, falling 4-0. While losing is never fun, Knoxville Central can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee soccer rankings (they are ranked 87th, while Grace Christian Academy are ranked 23rd).

Meanwhile, Bearden put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They came within a single goal of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against Hardin Valley Academy. That's two games straight that Bearden have won by just one goal.

Bearden pushed their record up to 7-0 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those three contests. As for Knoxville Central, they now have a losing record of 2-3-2.

Knoxville Central might still be hurting after the 4-1 loss they got from Bearden in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can Knoxville Central avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
