Central came tearing into Wednesday's matchup with 23 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.8 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Beauregard Hornets by a score of 6-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 12-2 back in March.

Allyson Supan spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on four hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Khloe Broadwater was a standout: she fired off two home runs while going 2-for-4. That's the most home runs she has posted over her last 11 contests. Another player making a difference was Gerritt Griggs, who went 3-for-4 with five stolen bases and three runs.

Central pushed their record up to 41-3 with the win, which was their 24th straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.9 runs over those games. As for Beauregard, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 24-12.

Central wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 13-1 win against Opelika on the 26th. As for Beauregard, they have also already played their next match, a 10-1 victory against Valley on the 26th.
